ROSE CENTERS PASSENGERS RIDE WITH STC
CLEVELAND – January 10, 2017 – Senior Transportation Connection (STC) will provide transportation for seniors attending programs at the Rose Centers for Aging Well, effective Feb. 1, 2017. About 250 senior adults rely upon transportation to participate in congregate meals, social, health and wellness programming Monday through Friday at the following Cleveland and East Cleveland Rose Center locations:

- King Kennedy, 2501 East 59th St.. 216.373.1918
- East Cleveland, 16200 Euclid Ave., 216.373.1919
- Paul W. Alandt Lakeshore, 6600 Lakeshore Blvd. 216.373.1915
STC will also provide transportation for special outings for center participants and expects to deliver about 15,000 trips during the year. Older adults seeking transportation to Rose Centers location should contact their local Rose Center directly to obtain qualifications and details.
“STC is pleased to provide access to the quality services the Rose Centers offer,” said Janice Dzigiel, STC executive director. “Our purpose is to be a critical ‘connection-maker’ for seniors who do not drive and need access services like STC to stay active. One third of our passengers rely upon a wheelchair, walker or cane. Not only do our vehicles accommodate them in comfort, our drivers are trained to offer the appropriate customer service and assistance.”
The Rose Centers for Aging Well LLC (www.rosecenters.org), a subsidiary of the Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging, provides meals to homebound seniors and in neighborhood centers and offers social, health and wellness programs to seniors in the community. “When agencies of the Rose Centers’ caliber partner with STC, it validates the quality of reliability of our services,” Dzigiel said.
Senior Transportation Connection (www.ridestc.org) Since 2005, STC has provided comprehensive, coordinated, efficient and affordable transportation is available to seniors and adults with disabilities throughout Cuyahoga County. Cuyahoga County residents who have mobility challenges due to age, lack of access, disability, frailty or inability to drive use STC in partnership with municipalities and social service agencies. Destinations include medical appointments, including dialysis and treatment; senior centers for meals and social activities; grocery shopping and personal errands.
